Mix and marinate overnight.
Cook over medium heat in a non-stick pan, stirring constantly, until sugar melts and almonds are browned. Cool before adding to salad.
Layer starting with lettuce, then green onions, strawberries, candied almonds, and grilled marinated chicken. Top with Poppy Seed Dressing. Adjust amounts as desired — add more strawberries or toppings to taste.

Don't burn the candied almonds!
